Workshops
The Gathering always features a great line-up of workshops. We're convincing top line musicians to present workshops on guitar, fiddle, harp, dance, songwriting, singing, poetry and including a few surprises!
In the past we've had workshops from folk like Danny Spooner, Eric Bogle, Chris Finnen, Andrew Clermont, Trouble in the Kitchen, Hard Drive, John Francis, Dave Clark and many many others.
The Gathering usually presents about 10-12 high quality workshops which are:
- in the spirit of Frances and support the aims of its funding bodies
- appealing, informative and engaging
- and in particular, engage children and youth in the folk movement
The 2011 Gathering collected an exciting array of workshoppers. Applications for the next one will open on November 1st. Keep and eye on this page - or, better yet, subscribe to the newsletter!
If you're interested in running a workshop at the Gathering, come along to the next Gathering and see how we go about it. Between November and the new year we ask for expressions of interest from experienced people who might to run a workshop. A link will appear under the "Quick Finder" on the left if applications are open.
