Greetings Fellow Frances Followers wherever you are!
FFG at the movies…
As you know FRANCES is FREE!!! But…we need serious dollars to keep things that way and this year’s battle for funds is as tough as ever.
“How can I do my bit?” I hear you cry. That’s easy - support our wonderful “Frances Folk Gathering at the Movies”. Even if you can’t make it to see the film you can still chase up friends to come along – wherever you are. And the details?
Scott Hicks latest film ‘The Boys are Back’ is largely filmed in SA. The special showing on Sunday 22nd November at 4:00 pm is at the Trak cinemas, Greenhill Road, (opposite the Burnside Shopping Centre) just $10 per ticket and there’s a great raffle too! Bring your friends, family & neighbours along! To purchase tickets phone 08 8353 3362 - all proceeds go to the 11th Frances Folk Gathering.
Competition entries now well and truly open
The wonderful Frances musicianship competitions are now open so don’t miss your chance to sign up. Please pass on the word to talented singers and musicians of all ages to have a go. There are lots of categories but they do fill quickly.
The best way to get information and to book a spot is by entering online here. If you’re not able to do this you might call the Frances phone 0431 137 573 but remember this isn’t always attended so be patient for a reply.
Workshop expressions of interest now open too
If you or someone you know has something special to offer to fellow Gatherers that will educate, edify or inform and supports the spirit of the Gathering then, again, just check out the website for more information and how to put in an offer – sooner than later would be best. Go to http://www.francesfolkgathering.com.au/add_Workshoppers.php.
We always have great workshops at the Gathering – keep the ideas and suggestions coming in!
Help build our newsletter network
Please encourage folk to sign up for this newsletter. Click the "Forward" link at the bottom of this newsletter to send it to your friends' email inboxes.
This a great way for us to keep the word out across town and country to everyone who loves the great Frances Gathering. The more folk we are in touch with the better for the Gathering – and it helps keep our costs down too! By the way, we never compromise your personal information.
All the best in Frances Folking – folkational therapy for all at the 11th Gathering – 26th – 28th February 2010!
