Patchwork of Folk
The Patchwork of Folk blanket project for 2011 was a huge success!
Congratulations to Briar on winning the blanket which fits perfectly on her bed at home! A cozy reminder of the great fun weekend at Frances.
Thanks to Anna MacKenzie for organising it and for those many hours of stitching at the Gathering to put it all together. Well done Anna!
Money raised from the raffle has been added to the fund-raising efforts for next year's Gathering.
For next year...
What we need is for as many of you as possible to knit (or crochet) some small blue squares and bring them with you to Frances.
Over the Gathering weekend your contributed squares will be stitched together into a double bed blanket which will then be raffled or auctioned as a fundraiser for future Gatherings.
The squares need to be blue (you choose the shade) and 15cm square. They need to be 8 ply acrylic or wool.
Long-time Frances attendee, Anna MacKenzie is the coordinator. Email Anna at blanketproject@francesfolkgathering.com.au to let her know if you can help.
Your contributions can be either knitted or crocheted, from 8 ply acrylic or wool. The one below shows the style - but yours need to be blue.
